When we turn on our hot supply on the bathroom basin tap it runs as one would expect and then after 5 seconds or so slows to a dribble and pretty much stops. No such prob with the hot bath tap or the hot kitchen tap.

I don't know whether it is relevant, but we have a Powermax 140 (unvented). Everything seems tickety-boo with this though the gauge showing around 1 bar as the manual suggests. Any ideas? Ta in advance.

SOMe taps just DO do that! Sometimes its the washer expanding when it gets hot, but not always.

So what would remedy the situation here, then? Replacng the washer? We wouldn't need new taps, surely? They are only 18 months old!

Renew the washer.
One way of finding out if it is the tap is to swop it with the cold tap. :D
