Baxi Back Boiler I have recently had a new boiler installed (9 months).
The installer has emigrated. There is quite a lot of banging coming from the boiler - Is it possible to connect the cold water feed incorrectly lets say to the top of the boiler when it should be to the bottom and this is causing the banging, incidentally, I have an indirect hot water cylinder fitted in an open vented system.

If its a new back boiler then its may well be a flow problem.

Can you look at the pump and see what speed setting its on and if its "1" then increase it to "2".

Hi

Thanks for the reply/suggestions. I have vented the system numerous times.

I have increased the pump speed unfortunately the banging still persists.

Regards.

You may need the help of an expert boiler engineer ( which rules out some of the manufacturer's staff engineer.

Its very unusual for a back boiler to bang as they are so solid!

I have seem many boilers which have been working satisfactorily for many years with the flow and return connections reversed. many systems with the pump reversed too.

Try turning the boiler stat knob down a bit first though!
