Hi here my dishwasher fills up when i empty my sink as it connected to the same waste pipe it appears to back up and go down the dish water outlet,,is there a one way valve fitted to the dishwasher or will i have to re route the waste pipes

You need to loop the drain hose above the sink spigot to stop the water running down the hose
