Hi,
We have a Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 which suddenly has gone loopy.
Instead of a normal sedate agitation as part of the wash cycle, it is as if the machine is trying to spin every time. There's a large burst of extra energy every time the drum starts to turn over, which gets the drum spinning with a big 'thunk' - the speed gradually declines after several seconds to almost stationary after this initial jolt, but there is plenty of odd clicking sounds as the drum turns over. The machine doesnt spin anywhere near the normal speed on the spin cycle - so the clothes are always wet.
Any thoughts on how to calm the machine down would be welcome.
Thanks,
Oliver
