Thank you for your help. I found the part on espares at £47 but on ebay I found a second hand one for £10.34 inc postage etc., so have gone for that one. I can return the other wrong part. Will have to wait until next weekend for it to be fitted but glad to have identified the part. Thank you so much for your help - I will let you know how I get on.

Hi Yardie,
Have just had the part fitted by son, all put back together and given it a trial run. All the china and glasses have come out clean no smearing. The salt dispenser didn't empty during the wash as it had been doing before. When I filled the salt dispenser before running the machine, it didn't seem to take in as much salt as it used to do but presumably it will sort itself out.
On the rogue part the pointy plunger at the end didn't seem to want to work.
I can't thank you enough as it has saved me so much money, and it is a real pleasure having the machine working again. Sending hugs... Many many thanks.
