Hotpoint Aquarius dishwasher - not heating water but drying

Hi

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius DC26 slimline dishwasher that does not seem to be heating the water on the wash cycle. It does seem to be generating heat during the drying cycle so I suspect that it may be a problem with the element ?

Machine is 3 three years old and has been relatively trouble free up to now.

Any help in identifying potential other causes, plus pointers on locating and replacing the element would be very gratefully received.

Nothing wrong with the element if it's hot at the end of the cycle.

Something else entirely ???
