Hotpoint aquarius WF220P won't start no door lock light

Hi. My Hotpoint aquarius WF220P stopped halfway through a wash cycle, and now won't start back up. When the start button is pressed, the door lock solenoid locks the door, but the 'door closed' light doesn't illuminate, and therefore the machine doesn't start. When the off button is pressed, the door lock solenoid waits two minutes, and then releases fine. The door interlock has been replaced, but the machine still exhibits the same fault. There are no flashing lights.

Check the motor brushes poss worn.
