Can anyone give me me advise on grinding bearing on the rear half tub?
Ive stripped it down but when it has come to the last stage, actually removing the shaft from the bearing, im having problems!
Can i apply gentle heat on the bearing to ease it? Or is there another way it must be done i.e somesort of bearing puller.
I know its not a good idea to change the bearing as it'll probally reoccur, i just wanted to locate the problem!!
If its cost effective ill get new rear half

Cheers

Fixed the problem! Hit it with a big hammer and it slowly popped out. The bearing was that worn, it had disintigrated and from the heat and friction it had worn a pea size hole in the centre of the back drum.
The spider and shaft are also pitted with crap. so its a complete new back end.

Also got a Dyson dc11 (all floors) Need 2 new carbon brushes, but cant find a complete Brush in its housing, Anyone help!![/u]
