hotpoint dwf32 dishwasher not fully draining

my hotpoint dwf32 dishwasher doesnt fully drain out, there about and inch of water still in machine after it pumps out, i cannot see any blockage's
i have taken the lest side panel off and its pretty clear, if it the pump failing, exactly where is the pump located in the machine, the back does not come off only the side panels,

Is the water above the mesh filter or below it?

below the mesh, at the bottom, i noticed when i took off left sidepanel
the plastic see through filter still has water in after machine has finished its cycles. it seems to pump out but completely? or does some water have to still remain.
