In the 6 months we have owned this machine, it has required 3 service visits to remove the most miniscule items from the pump which have not been caught by the filter. Although we have always rinsed dishes before adding to the machine, it seems we must virtually wash them by hand before dishwashing them!!
has anyone else had this problem with this range of washers, and can anyone suggest a modification to the existing filter or a replacement that might help?

many Thanks

i am not being "funny" but perhaps you didn't read the instructions, you are supposed to thoughrly rinse all items before they go in a dish washer, thats rinse not wash.

the most common "fault" is that people think they are "waste disposal units" and as such do not rinse things before putting them in a dish washer.

tommy sauce for example will turn all plastic pink

Thanks breezer
As stated in my first post, "we have always rinsed dishes before adding to the machine".
Being less than perfect, occassional matter remains on the dishes-very small remains of baked-on potato perhaps as in the last case.
having a filter at all seems rather pointless if nothing is left on the dishes to filter. :p
having had a washer for many years and never having changed our loading habits, it is only the new machine which is giving these problems.
