Not sure what they're called but the plastic parts inside the drum (agitator bits ?) have snapped off, can they be bought as spares and whats they're proper name or do i have to get a new drum ? Cheers in advance.

Yes these can be bought as spares take the old broken one along to the spares dealer for identity if you are going to fit yourself, as well as the model number of your washing machine as hotpoint make three different versions of these paddles with different fixings.
