Hotpoint washer wma66 FAULTY - HELP ME PLEASE

My hotpoint washer is stopping mid cycle and making a grinding noise, the seal inside the door seems creased, it then starts to leak. if i put it to spin mode it works. I did a test on it by holding the rince and spin and turning it back on, it went thru all the stages fine.

help please xx

check the pump poss a bra wire stuck in it .filter/pump is found at the back down the bottom also check top spring not snapped and the drum is hanging down .

If there was a major problem would it have showed an error code?
