Hotpoint washing machine - door won't unlock

Help - my hotpoint washer/dryer WD72 won't unlock the door. The electric tripped in the kitchen yesterday (whilst the machine was in middle of programme) and now I can't get it open. I have put it through a couple of cycles but still won't unlock when programme finished. Any ideas what i can do?

have you tried putting it on just a spin cycle?

if that doesnt work, assuming there is no water in the m/c it will be the pecker assembly, if this is the case mayt be more is wrong, i would call hot point (parts are free if m/c under 5)
