Hotpoint washing machine sounds like scraping concrete

My Hotpoint washing machine started banging and making a grinding noise like scraping against concrete when on the spin. It finished the cycle ok but the washing was hot when I took it out. I've checked inside and the drum moves freely when I push it round, the concrete blocks are secure and I have no rust drips down the back so don't think it's the drum bearings. I have read it could be something catching inside but I can't see anything and not sure how to check. Any advise welcome. Thanks in advance
