when filling up with water for a wash there was a loud bang and machine ceased to operate.... any ideas capacitor or some thing???

What did it blow, fuse in plug mcb or rcd and after replacing what is the current state of the machine does it reblow fuses etc or is the machine just lifeless with no lights.
changed plug and fuse but machine is dead (".)

Have a look see if there's a hole in the door seal.
A common problem is water getting onto the door interlock, big bang and it takes out the timer/module with it too.
