Housing Density?

In the village where I live we have been notified that a Housing Association are proposing building on farm land.
Having researched the HA company what we can find indication on is the likely number houses to be built. The proposed available land is 2.7 acres (1 Hectare).
Any suggestions on the likely number of houses to built on that site or number per Acre?
