How do I bridge the cavity over the door threshold?

Hello. I am presently laying 18mm thick lats on a concrete floor and then covered with 18mm floorboards. However, how or what is the best way to bridge the door threshold cavity to provide enough support for this floor?
To elaborate: The cavity threshold currently has a cavity closer but there is no support under this.
