I have just laid some new decking in my garden, but the decking that has been down 2 years is starting to get green type of algae or moss on it as it is in the shade most of the day! What is the best way to clean it off ready for oiling??

I'd let a strong (500grms oer gallon) soda crystal solution soak into it to kill the moss then brush it off with a hardbristled brush.

Oil? This can cause algae to grow if in the right conditions. Use a good quality decking stain, they usually have inhibitors in.
