I removed some radiators in my house and would like to sell them.

There is still part of the old valve attached though which I would like to remove.

On the image you can see part of the valve that spins on the spot when spun. However, that's not the issue. Inside the radiator this piece is attached with some hexagonal thing that needs unscrewing out.

What do i use to get it out? I thought an Alan key but can't source one big enough. Is there a tool or something?

or if you have the rest of the old valve tighten this back on tight with two sets of grips and it will usually turn itself out

It is either half inch or 12mm Alan key depending on age. Cheaper than a rad tail key and just as good.

The brass fitting you turn anti clockwise to undo. The Bush it's screwed into is a reverse thread

Why don't you buy another set of valves rather than using old fittings ? they are that expensive.

No mention of re-using fittings, perhaps just want to sell without tail?

if that's the case let the buyer worry about getting the fitting off although I think the op is just being "careful" with money.
