Hi, just had a new bathroom suite fitted, but probably should have tiled FIRST Anyway, how do I move the close coupled cistern so I can tile behind it? It will look ridiculous if I tile round it. Will I have to remove the whole loo, or just the cistern?
Thanks
Annette.

You will have to remove bowl too as the cistern will be moved by the thickness of the tiles & adhesive.

Assuming its a close coupled suite:
Isolate water supply by turning of isolation valve and disconnect supply.
Flush cistern
Sponge out anv remaining water.
Disconnect overflow if you don't have an internal overflow.
Undo connection to bowl by undoing 2 wingnuts underneath.
Undo 2 screws holding cistern to wall.
Lift off cistern.
Undo screws holding bowl to floor.
Move bowl forward slightly say 10mm.

Tile wall and refit bowl & cistern

Ahhhhh! It was a doddle moving and tiling, but now ive put it back its leaking from the big round plastic bit that leads to the wall! Only slightly, but its grossing me out. What do i do now??

If its an old fitting you might find the rubber has got a bit brittle - might be best to replace that part with a nice shiney new clean one

Because you WC is now sitting approx. 10mm further out into the room - are you sure that the waste pipe fitting is properly around the outlet of the WC?
