How does the flow and return on this microbore manifold work?

Hi all,

How does this manifold work with regards to feed and return? (see attached photo) Is the first half of the 22mm pipe all the feeds, and the second half of the pipe the returns? (marked by my red line).

This plumbing is potentially from the 80s if that helps. My builder has added a new radiator which explains the T.

You are correct, there is a blank in the middle.

Would of still been a mess in the 1880's.
