Is this fairly easy or a job for the experts?

Model is Sime 80.

Any tips?

Thanks

Its easy for an expert!

I cannot say how easy it would be for you!!!

If we were engaged then we would clean a blocked HE rather than replace it.

If its blocked then remember its a dirty system which is the cause and unless this is power flushed the problem will probably reoccur!

Thank you, it is not blocked, it is letting water into the system and therefore the overflow is constantly running.

I have had a problem with sludge and intend to flush the system at the same time as replacing heat exchanger.

Flush it first otherwise there is a good chance that the debris released into suspension by the cleaning chemicals will block the new hx
