How the hell do you adjust door ?

Ok guys PLEASE help.

I have fitted a new UPVC back door ( fully glazed Type) The frame is dead plumb BUT it wont latch. I can see some allen key bolts on the top and also side of the hindge.

Do you have to play with these untill you get it aligned ?

basically yes, if its already fixed and siliconed.
some fitters will use packers under the sill to jiggle the frame until they have the lock and latch aligned, before fixing to the masonry. they do this regardless of wether the sill is level or not.
its considered more important to align the locking mechanism than a truly level sill.
it may be aligned, have you adjusted the latch keep? it may be that the keep is too far in for the latch to catch.

Cheers but i sussed it. The hindges are ajustable 3 ways, for height, for standoff from the frame and for plumb... Clever people these plastic designers....

Door fits like a glove now another job done....
