If I was boarding my freestanding garage roof with OSB (in prep for doing EPDM), my plan would be to have the OSB overhang the UPVC fascia I'd be attaching around the perimeter. See option 1 in the attached image. However when I've been looking at guidance online (whether YT vids or online manuals) some appear to show the OSB butting up against the fascia, see option 2.

As I say my thoughts are option 1 is correct (best practice) am I wrong i.e. is option 2 best, or is either acceptable?

I would leave the fascia 50mm lower than the top of the boarding, and use a drip edge, which stands forward approx. 30mm
