How to disable a drayton digistat SCR

HELP!!

Ive just broken the battery clip in my drayton digistat rf601 and now I have no heating! Too be honest i dont really want the digistat anyway so does anyone know how to disable the digistat receiver and just use the boiler normally?

I am a no good with DIY and I really dont want to pay for a plumber to come out!!!

You can just press the overide button on the receiver so the green light stays on.

make your mind up is it the room stat you have broken or the reciever (which is next to the boiler)

you may be able to buy a seperate unit off of ebay etc but normally in the merchants they aren't sold seperatly but come as a matched pair, if yours in the one with the two push holders for the batts then things have moved on abit & you might be better getting the new version although this will req a new reciever being wired into the boiler

Why not? How will you control the room temperature and provide the compulsory interlock if you don't have one?
