Hi - I'm relocating the kitchen to what is now the lounge. I only have a rain water drain outside the new kitchen and BC tell me rain and sewage have to be kept seperate. I was wondering if laying new external pipe and drain etc for kitchen waste is a job best left for the experts or could a virgin but willing DIYer like me attempt it?

Does anyone know of a step-by-step guide online or on this forum.

Many thanks,

Tony

You wil probably find your drains are clay. Digging and laying the plastic pipes may not be too much of problem, but i would recommend you get a pro in to connect you up, the last thing you want is a broken clay drain when you attempt to cut it.

Thanks for that Expertboy - I think I need to start digging and find out which direction the pipe is running. Your right, I don't fancy risking connecting to a clay pipe.

All the best,

Tony
