Hi we have had a lot of problems over the years with a saniflo Macerator so a couple of years ago we replaced it with an industrial one.
it is only in a spare room so does not get used much.
This morning it jammed on and my wife didn't turn it off from the mains so it was pretty hot when I got there.

I am trying to get the top off so that i can check the float switch but after removing the top pipe connection , two screws from the lugs and unclipping the front I can't get my fingers round the back to unclip the two clips there.

Apart from removing the whole thing from the wall which would be a major job removing skirtings etc are there any tips you can give me to unclip the back please?

thanks

Mike

You have the older style Sanibest, the clips at the back are the same as the front ones so if you can`t slide something behind then the whole thing will need to come out, also noticed the fitter has put a metal jubilee clip at the tank end of the rubber bellow connection so you can remove that to slide the tank out sideways. Once out push the Black rubber pipe of the outlet in through the lid to get the lid off.

It could be the rubber membrane is at fault (£12 on fleabay) even if I`m wrong now I would still replace it whilst it is out as the cutting disc is right at the bottom of the motor so everything has to come out of the tank.
