Hi, apologies if this has been dealt with in other threads, I did search the site but couldn't find anything.

I have removed vinyl tiles from my bathroom floor, which is a hardwood floor. There is alot of adhesive still on the floor from the tiles. The fitter for the new vinyl wont lay it until the sticky floor problem is sorted out. He said the adhesive will "cure" but in the last 48 hours it doesn't seem any less sticky. After googling it, I found lots of USA sites (couldn't find many UK sites) recommending heat guns and solvents. A heat gun on a wooden floor doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Any suggestions please on how to deal with this. I have tried white spirit but not sure whether a solvent on a wooden floor is a good idea either! Any advice would be appreciated. Thankyou
