I am finishing a parquet floor am fitting a Scotia to hide the expansion gap. About half the wall around the room is very old brick (the house was built approx 1620) so I do not want to drill into the bricks etc.

Has anyone got any idea how to attach the Scotia to the brick without causing damage?

Consider one of the instant grab adhesives (which they aren't) on one face of the scotia and tape it in place until it goes off.
I prefer the solvent type rather than the 'green' varieties :p

I am concerned about damaging the very old bricks, so wanted to avoid the instant grab ones.

Any other ideas?

Silicone, if the bricks are pretty flat.....sticks like hell but it can be sliced through if necessary.
