HRads only hot upstairs but not down

Hi guys, y plan open vented system, rads upstairs are getting hot but downstairs are all cold. I've checked the pump, this seems to be fine. Any ideas what the cause could be?

Oh right, ta, so a potential powerflush?

Looking at the price difference, though you can't beat a proper powerflush, a chemical flush may do the job.

I would go back and re-check the pump. They can appear to be spinning but not actually circulate properly.

Is the valve opening fully for ch only? Try it on the manual latched position.

Any work been done to the system very recently?

I checked the valve, that seemed to be functioning ok, i bled the pump, water did come out, it was rather mucky coloured though.

Turn rads off upstairs and try and force heat downstairs then read up on FAQ about balancing system

Did the heat go down at all what size pipework have you got to rads not by anychance microbore

Not microbore, its in 15mm. There was some heat in the pipes and the valves, but that was it, no heat in the rads themselves.

First place i would check for blockage is the air seperator if you have one.
