There is several mi5 or 6 tests you can do online which results in them asking you to apply for jobs. Quite interesting .

Many moons ago my nephew applied, passed the tests and then failed because his parents are foreigners and never bothered to get a British passport.
They didn't say that, but they said he'd failed background checks...
No criminal records in extended family if you wonder.
