Ideal boiler mini C32, keeps trying to ignite for no reason

Hi

I have a ideal boiler mini C32. When I request hot water or central heating the boiler works fine.

However when neither hot water or central heating are on the boiler keeps trying to ignite.

Does any one have any ideas?

I encountered this before and it was one of the pcbs. Best to get someone in to test it though as it may not be the same.

When you say TRIES to ignite, what exactly does it actually do?

I can hear the spark of the ignition and the pilot gas feed, as if it was starting but then stops as there is no supply. This happens every couple of minutes, when there is no demand.

All I can say is that I cannot see any way that you could hear a spark or gas when the pump and fan are running!

Regardless, you will need an engineer as we cannot give advice on gas related problems.

When its diagnosed please tell us exactly what it turns out to be.
