We are about to lay some vinyl flooring in our kitchen which gets heavy traffic and we also have a dog( thinking of dog claws etc)

What is the best depth of vinyl to buy? I have been told that too deep and it can get damaged easily....

We have seen some at 2.6 mm. Would that be ok?
Thanks!!

Id look for commercial stuff rather than domestic as this tends to be a much better quality. Armstrong do some very good ones.

Thanks.
I forgot to mention that our budget is an issue. Commercial vinyl seems dear or maybe i am looking in the wrong places for it.

When i visited Allied Carpets they told me that over a certain depth the vinyl is more prone to damage.

I would like to know which depth is best.

you get what you pay for really. Your best bet is to find a commercial flooring distributor and see what they can offer
