IDEAL icos HE24 Help please

hi all
i have an icsos he24 that when turned on from the front panel the boiler fires up and begins to heat the water ( with h/w control in off position )the only way to stop it , is to turn the boiler off by the switch, also the pump is running all the time the only way to stop it is to turn off the isolater switch.have looked everywhere on net can not find any answers,hope this site can point me in the right direction.

As it is an Icos, check your external contols/zone valve first.

valve and all external controls seem to be ok,the pump is still running when the boiler is turned off also when you turn the boiler back on it fires up and starts to heat the water

If it is heating the HW cylinder and the pump is constantly on, then it will be the HW 2 port valve faulty and stuck on, unless you have a 3 port valve, then that will be a faulty head.
