indeed - I got the impression that he was under timing issues to get to another job or was just fed up after having to replace PCB, ignitor, cables and electrodes and gas valve to get the thing working at all and was easier to blame the flue as he didn't need to then investigate that. But certainly based on what you guys said and as it proved, all it needed was someone who knew what they were doing with the gas valve and FGA.
