immersion heaters

in my flat i have 2 immersion heaters in a sealed tank

cant get economy 7 to work

i have changed the stat but no joy

originally it burnt the fused spur out?

can anyone help please

New stat wont help if the entire element is dead. May need the entire immersion replacing, if its fried the spur then really needs a professional electrician to check it over. Immersions pull a fairly heavy current, and operating overnight, if it were to catch fire the result could be nasty.

Very good advise Hugh there is so much pull on current with immersion heaters that if one thing is wrong a fire is just a stones throw away a good sparky will sort out any problems
