Imprinted drive, sealing is it necessary

Is it necessary to have your imprinted drive sealed at regular intervals? What would happen if you just left it. Is this a job for a diyer, what is the method for doing the sealing?
Any advice much appreciated

At my old house the drive has been in place for 15 years without a re-coat.

How do i get dead moss out of tarmac before sealing my drive?

Tarmac is not an imprinted drive and does not need sealing.

well I am going to put a tarmac restorer on drive as it’s starting to broke up and it’s 3years old
