At 7:24 it certainly looks like a cable - with a possibly a taped over joint - other electrics visible...
I think the guy is an elderly neighbour - not so much fun homesteading in old age - miles from that which keeps one alive.
I have read that WS is probably making $100k or so p/a from this Vlog - I have a whisper that Mrs WS is / was an attorney and probably works from home - certainly drives a BMW XDrive... As things stand - if all is true - they'l not be concerned about relocation comes the day.
WS makes quite reasonable little movies with lots of diy stuff... Vid' titles can be misleading but generally the content is ok.
