I have an old D61 diswasher which has given many years of service. It has now started stopping at points in the cycle and endlessly washing. If I wind the timer on manually it will finish the cycle though sometimes needs winding on more than once. It has done this before but fixed itself after a few washes. From my understanding of dishwashers the length of the wash cycle is set by the timer so I'm presuming that the problem is likely to be the timer which is not moving on rather than a sensor not operating. Is that true or could there be a faulty sensor. I have found 2 timers on the web for £76 though which is the correct one I shall have to check. It does seem strange that the timer is operating to some extent but stopping in some positions.
