As stated, no. 1 light is flashing on its own & the dishwasher no longer works, i can hear the pump running as it does when its emptying but nothing else is happening, i have cleaned all filters etc & the water is on, any ideas?

It is very likely you have a leak; i.e water has entered the base & activated the anti-flood protection device. Lean the machine forward & see if any water runs out (place a couple of old towels down first). If water runs out the machine should restart, but the leak will need tracking down.
