INDESIT W133S - STUCK ON CYCLE, WILL NOT DRAIN!

Hi, can anyone help me?

My washing machine has suddenly stopped working, when it comes to drain it will not drain the water away and 'sticks' on the cycle. I have emptied the valve at the bottom of the washer on numerous occassions and once or twice (after all water is released) it will complete a short cycle.

Is it worth getting someone to come out and have a look at it or just buy a new one altogther? (Had this one for 3 years).

Does it have a filter than you could/should clean?

What is this valve that you've emptied?
