Indesit W143S

I have an Indesit W143S that fills the drum as normal but wont do a wash or turn the drum. It drains and spins as a single program but no more. It did go funny first by filling the drum and just kept turning as if washing but never stopped, the dial just kept spinning!
Anybody have any ideas please.......Mark
