Installing a new Tee joint for dishwasher inlet

turn off the water, cut the horizontal pipe leaving about 30mm on the horizontal bit, then fit the tee you pictured and simply put the other cut end into the tee, if it didnt have a flexi you would need to cut 15mm off the pipe to accomodate the tee, but as its a flexi it will simply move the 15mm along,
lets have a competiton, someone said they would do it in 10 mins, i say 8mins, and thats only cause my knees are dodgy and it would take me longer to get down and back up again

Undo the compression nut of the flexi, take off the nut and olive from one end of the washing machine tee valve, put it into the nut of the flexi, take off the other nut and olive from the tee, get a 1/2" BSP socket, put the threaded end of the flexi into one end of the socket, put the other end of the socket onto the tee. Use PTFE tape on the olive and PTFE tape or Loctite 55 on the male threads of the tee valve and flexi.

Thats a lot of f*cking about for a simple job.

if in doubt id get a plumber in and it shouldnt cost more than £40, at least it should be done right the first time, especially if your in doubt.

Loosen the swivel nut at the tap end of the flexi first to allow for turning of the hose when screwing bits together.

Is it bo**ocks. It is hardly any more work than anyone else has suggested, does not need to have a novice cutting pipe in a cramped position or making a compression joint from scratch.
