Hi,

We have just replaced our old power shower with a new one.

There is power going to it but no water is coming out.

Does anyone know why?

We drained the system but have since turned the water back on.

It sounds fine but just no show of water!!

Help!!

Is it dangerous to let it run dry?

Yeah sure! Its a Mira Event XS Thermostat.

Its the same as the one we replaced just a newer model!!

Is there water getting to the shower? have you opened any service valves that may have been shut during the installation.
The shower should not run at all until water flows through it so it should not dry run.
Where does the feed come from.

It is gravity fed from the tank in the loft.

The water was shut off and the tank was drained prior to installation.

The two pipes coming from the loft were then pushed back into the new unit.

The water supply downstairs was then turned back on. There is power going to the unit but no water at all.

Just checked and there is water going through the feed pipes into the unit but just not coming out the other end!!

Me again!!

Having messed with the feed pipes there seems to be a little bit of water running through...but not much.

Could there be an air lock in the system? In the actual unit? If yes then how is this solved?

Thanks!

Have sorted it now!

Was an airlock!

Thank god we now have a shower!!
