Hi

I will be installing mains connected downlights and have a couple of questions.

There are going to be 9 lights (spotlights) all requiring power from the main curcuit.

I was going to use junction boxes to connect each light. I also want all 9 lights to run from the same switch.

I guess for each light i need a seperate junction box! This will however give me 9 switch cables. Can i use another couple of junction boxes to gather all the switch cables together and then have just the one cable terminate at the actual switch?

Have I lost the plot with this one? Is there an easier way to wire the 9 lights other than 9 seperate junction boxes?

cheers :)

Do your looping in at one junction box, or at the switch, and then take the switched feed to each light in turn, placing a junction box near each one

DOH !

Now you say it, me understand! I obviously had lost the plot on that one!!

cheers.
