I am looking to insulate my barn conversion, the property was originally converted in the 1980's and I don't think their is any insulation in the roof that I can see.
The roof leaks in a couple of places and I though it might be better to fix the leaks and insulate at the same time.
I have had coupple of quotes to strip the roof, add insulation 70mm celotex between the rafters and a layer of aiflex over the rafters and then replace roof.
The cheapest quote so far has been over £35k - this is far more than I can afford - is their any cheaper alternative to taking the roof off, if I have no loft space to insulate?
Is it possible to insulate from the inside on a vaulted plastered and decorated ceiling?
