Our boards are 95% closed cell boards, obviously they have open cells on cut board edges. Moisture in this situation could potentilly cause delamination of the board and alter thermal performance.

This is also why boards which are unused on site should be kept off the ground and covered at all times to ensure they stay fit for purpose.

simply had new render and plaster put on
My LA Conservation Officer is against putting concrete and gypsum on the inside of solid walls. Says it can affect the integrity of the brick. It seems to be fairly common though. For a listed building he has the authority to tell LABC to take a running jump for Part-L (he suggested a lime plaster/vermiculite mix.)
