How do, I have searched a few topics in this forum but can't seem to find any info

I will be insulating my Loft floor and Loft roof soon and have a bit of a 'query' I can insulate the floor were i can reach and the same with the roof but as the roof slants down towards the eaves it gets harder to get in to insulate the floor/roof + there is support in the way...And it got me wondering, If i insulate as much as I can and leave the eaves, Will the insulation that i have put up be useless as a lot of the roof is still not insulated?

Thanks for reading.

For what reason are you insulating the roof joists?
are you using the loft as a room ore just storage?
If just storage, insulate between the joist in ceiling and loft floor only and leave ventilation around the permitter of the loft, so cold air can circulate, preventing condensation.

Insulating both floor and roof is a pointless waste of money. Do one or the other according to needs.

1) For normal living i.e. storage in loft, insulate ceiling
2) For habitable space in loft insulate roof.
