Hello All,
A recently wired ring main of mine has produced some results I wasn't expecting and wondered if anybody could advise me please.
Insulation Resistance Results were as follows;
P/N 54.5 M Ohms
P/E 48.9 M Ohms
N/E 59.1 M Ohms
Impedance Tests
r1 0.04 ohms
rn 0.06 ohms
r2 0.14 ohms
EFLI = 0.31
As this didn't please my test engineer can you imagine his anger when the other ring came out at;
Insulation Resistance
P/N 19.6 M Ohms
P/E 14.55 M Ohms
N/E 18.59 M Ohms
Impedance Test
r1 0.24
rn 0.24
r2 0.05
EFLI 0.31
Any ideas please on why the figures seem so poor on a newly installed circuit ????
Any help or advice would be appreciated as "Dunno, not my problem" was all the engineer could manage to say !!
