Hi

There is a company in Wales that sells Kingspan seconds, they are OK for roof and floor insulation BUT can they be used in the cavity, they do not have a foil coating.

Anyone know?

thanks

Tony

i would ring your local building control to make sure.

i think it will be ok. i say this on the basis of what's used for retrofit cavity wall insulation which i've been reading up on.

the suppliers use Polystyrene bonded beads, Glass wool and Rockwool. Knauf is a supplier (spec supafill).

Yes it can.

The foil may add to the boards' k-value, so it may not preform like a foil faced board, but only marginally less if anything
